2017 Housing Lottery Information
The Town of Vail's master purchaser list is used when any existing town-facilitated housing units, such as Vail Commons or North Trail Townhomes, become available for resale. Applicants are placed into tiers based on the number of years working and living in Eagle County and resale units are awarded to the top person on the list.
The lottery is conducted once per year, with applications available on April 1 and due in June. The lottery is conducted in July. Application packets for the housing lottery are available on-line or at the town’s Community Development Department office at 75 S. Frontage Rd.

The town has facilitated 82 owner-occupied housing units since 1995. This includes 53 at Vail Commons, 18 units at Red Sandstone Creek, three "buy-down units", six units at North Trail Townhomes and the Arosa Duplex. Any new units built or bought by the town will be sold through a separate lottery.
