The Town of Vail's Police and Fire departments work to ensure the safety and security of Vail's residents and guests through responsive, courteous, caring and dedicated service. 

Public Safety Overview

Vail's public safety professionals are trained to help protect residents and guests from crime, reduce the incidence of structural fires through first-response medical assistance, educational programs and informational pieces.

Aiding the Police and Fire departments is the Vail Communications Center. This state-of-the art communications center is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is responsible for countywide emergency service dispatching in supporting law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, public works, transportation and other public services. The communications center is located in the Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road.
