Public Meetings and Associated Documents

In November 2011, Vail voters elected to reallocate the Conference Center Fund balance for expansion and improvement of the clubhouse at the Vail Golf Course and Nordic Center, including multi-use community space; field expansion and restroom renovation at the Ford Park Sports Complex; and Ford Amphitheater improvements, including outdoor seating and restroom improvements. 2012 Planning and Environmental Commission

  • DATE: April 8, 2013
SUBJECT: The Planning and Environmental Commission will review the remodel plans for the Vail Golf Course and Nordic Center Clubhouse during its meeting on Monday, April 8. Following an earlier review by the PEC, the project has been modified to address concerns expressed by the commissioners regarding availability of parking and the overall use of the clubhouse. The changes, approved by the Town Council on March 19 in its role as the project owner, include a reduction in capacity of the banquet room from 200 to 160 people which is supported by an economic analysis that has been prepared for the town by an independent research firm. Another adjustment is an agreement to prohibit overflow parking on Sunburst Drive. A third change is a proposal to implement a valet parking program to meet the parking needs of the clubhouse and to ensure compliance with the town’s adopted parking regulations.
