Ford Park Phase 1 Improvements

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Vail (Owner) at the Public Works Administration Building, 1309 Elkhorn Drive, Vail Colorado 81657, until 1:00 p.m., local time August 10, 2012, for the Ford Park Phase1 Improvements, at which time all Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

This project is the first phase of a multi-year improvement plan for Ford Park in Vail. This phase generally includes construction of: retaining walls; restrooms, concessions, and maintenance buildings; utilities and storm drainage facilities; asphalt, concrete and concrete unit pavers pavements; tree transplanting; earthwork; stone landscape walls; electrical service upgrades and pedestrian lighting; and irrigation, landscaping and native seeding.

All Bids shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents with Technical Specifications which may be obtained after 12:00 p.m., July 17, 2012 local time through a File Share program.  Access to the electronic bid documents can be gained by emailing the town of Vail representative listed below.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Town of Vail, Public Works Administration Building, 1309 Elkhorn Drive, Vail, Colorado 81657, at 1:00 p.m., local time on July 24, 2012.  Bidders are required to attend.  Directions to the Town of Vail, Public Works office generated by GPS devices are frequently misleading. Use the address 1309 Vail Valley Drive if directions seem to be incorrect.

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid must accompany each Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of thirty (30) days after the date established for opening Bids.

The owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids.
