VAIL PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS
The town of Vail operates seven neighborhood and two community parks along with numerous pocket parks.  Vail's custom-built play areas are world renound and offer something for the whole family.

VAIL MOUNTAIN
Vail is surrounded by 350,000 acres of national forest and crowned by Vail Mountain's 5,289 skiable acres. The same ski trails used during the winter turn into world-class mountain biking trails in the summer.

15 MILES OF RECREATION PATHS
Paved recreation paths are run from East Vail to West Vail and are located alongside the North and South Frontage Roads. One is the Gore Valley Trail, which runs 12 miles from the base of Vail Pass on the south side of I-70 to Dowd Junction. The other is the North Recreation Path, a 2.5 mile trail that runs along the Frontage Road on the north side of I-70 from the West Vail roundabout to the pedestrian overpass. WHITEWATER PARK
Vail’s whitewater park at the Gore Creek Promenade offers a one of a kind adjustable whitewater wave that allows kayakers of all skills to enjoy a scenic stretch along the Gore Creek.

BETTY FORD ALPINE GARDENS
Features the highest botanical development in the nation.

COLORADO SKI MUSEUM
Located in the heart of Vail Village, showcases a wide variety of historical ski artifacts.
GERALD R. FORD AMPHITHEATER VILAR PAVILION
Home to concerts and international dance performances every summer.

VAIL PUBLIC LIBRARY
Over 55,000 volumes of fiction, non-fiction and bestsellers, Internet access, video/DVDs and word processing.

DOBSON ICE ARENA
Special live concerts and skating spectaculars come to the Dobson Ice Arena year-round. Also offers year-round figure skating, hockey and public ice-skating.

ADVENTURE RIDGE AT EAGLE'S NEST
Located on top of Vail Mountain, Adventure Ridge hosts daytime and nighttime activities during the ski season and summer. 

VAIL GOLF CLUB/COURSE
Provides summer recreation as well as wintertime cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating.

VAIL MEMORIAL PARK
A place where those who lived in or loved the valley can be memorialized. Any current or past resident of Vail or Eagle County and anyone who feels an emotional connection with the region are invited to purchase a memorial inscription and place or scatter ashes in the memorial park.

VAIL NATURE CENTER
Provides environmental education through outdoor activities in the summer and interpretive snowshoe tours in the winter.

VAIL TENNIS CENTER
Located at Ford Park, the tennis center offers various programs on eight outdoor clay courts.
