The Art in Public Places board (AIPP) meets the first Monday of each month from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Vail Town Council Chambers. The volunteer board oversees the Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places Program and is responsible for:
- ongoing maintenance of existing public art pieces
- administering temporary art displays on public property
- arranging for temporary art exhibits
- assisting developers and encouraging them to integrate public art within developments
- coordinating artist selections when public art is incorporated into the town

Anyone interested in serving on the AIPP board must either be a resident of the Town of Vail, or an owner of property within the town, or an owner of a business within the town. Elections for chairman will be help April 6, 2009.
