Town of Vail has adopted the 2012 version of the following:

  • International Building Code
  • International Residential Code
  • International Fire Code
  • International Plumbing Code
  • International Mechanical Code
  • International Fuel Gas Code
  • International Energy Conservation Code
  • International Performance Code for Building and Facilities
  • And the 2011 National Electrical Code

Town of Vail Structural Design Criteria

  • Ground Snow Load is 145 pounds per square foot
  • Wind Speed is 90 miles per hour (3 second gust) and Exposure B
  • Minimum Frost Depth of 48 inches
  • Site Class to be determined by the Soils Report
