BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The prospective contractor will be expected to perform materials testing for various capital projects in the Town of Vail per project specifications. Testing includes but not limited to moisture/density testing, asphalt density/gradation, concrete slump/air/cylinders/beams, reinforcing steel, standard/modified proctor, atterberg limits, -200 wash/gradation.
Proposals for the work described herein will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time at the above office on Friday February 27, 2015. Proposals can also be submitted electronically to email@example.com. Electronic proposals shall not exceed 5MB and shall not be .zip files.• Proposals should include rate sheet for tests, technicians, engineering, mileage, overtime. • Proposals should also include resumes of personnel who will be assigned to the work.
Any proposals submitted shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked “2015 Vail Capital Projects-MATERIAL TESTING”. Any proposals received after the above specified time will be immediately returned to the Bidder unopened.
AWARD OF BID
The award of the contract will be made by Friday March 6, 2015. The Town of Vail reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities herein.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER
Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement Form, and Certificates of Insurance in accordance with the requirements stated in the Agreement Form.

2015 Vail Overlay: Spring 201 construction schedule 2” Mill/Overlay, approx. 2,500 TON
Gore Valley Trail Improvements: Spring-Summer 2015 Reconstruction of approx. 1,100 LF of recreation path, includes 2 new pedestrian bridges
Ford Park Improvements-Lower Bench Restrooms and Plazas: Spring-Summer 2015Construction of restroom and picnic shelter building; playground modifications, municipal water main, utilities and storm drainage facilities; asphalt, concrete and concrete unit pavers pavements; tree transplanting; earthwork; stone landscape walls; electrical service upgrades and pedestrian lighting; and irrigation, landscaping and native seeding.
Bighorn Creek Culvert Replacement at Columbine Dr: Fall 2015 Removal of existing CMP and installation of new concrete box culvert.
