Public Comment Sought on I-70 West Vail Pass Auxiliary Lanes Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation has released recommendations to improve safety and operations on West Vail Pass on Interstate 70. Virtual public engagement will continue through Oct. 21. CDOT welcomes input on all projects and feedback is encouraged during the virtual public engagement period.

Share Your Thoughts about the Future of E-Bikes in Vail

The town’s Environmental Sustainability team is looking to collect your thoughts on the future of e-bike share systems in Vail. Following a pilot program this summer in which 12 e-bikes were used to log a collective 2,062 miles through 518 riders in partnership with Bewegen Technologies, the town is interested in capturing community feedback to help determine if the program should be offered in the future.

Pro, Con Statements Sought on Vail Ballot Issue

The Vail Town Clerk’s Office is accepting pro and con statements on Ballot Issue 2G which will appear on the Eagle County Coordinated Election ballot on Nov. 3. Ballot Issue 2G is Vail’s only election question. It asks voters to “de-Gallagher” by authorizing the Vail Town Council to adjust the town’s mill levy rate for the sole purpose of sustaining existing levels of revenue from future state-imposed reductions in residential assessed valuation rates.

Beginning Monday, Sept.  21, Ewing Trucking and Construction will begin construction of the Snowshoe drainage improvements project. This will consist of improved roadside ditch to increase capacity along Snowshoe Lane, culvert replacement at the intersections of Main Gore Drive/Snowshoe Lane and Main Gore Drive/Grouse Lane and under two private driveways along Main Gore Drive between Black Gore Drive and Grouse Lane.
