The Town of Vail is seeking community members to fill vacancies on three citizen boards. Openings exist on the Planning and Environmental Commission (PEC), Design Review Board (DRB) and Art in Public Places Board (AIPP). Applications for all vacancies are due to the town by 5 p.m. Friday, March 6.

New Online Lost and Found System

A new online retrieval system for lost and found items in Vail is being launched concurrently by the Town of Vail and Vail Resorts. The new system is supported by Chargerback, an online database that matches lost and found items and ships the property back to their owners if the item isn’t immediately recovered on site.

The Vail Town Council has directed staff to proceed in drafting an ordinance that would incrementally ban the use of plastic bags within the town. Council Preference on Noise Walls

The Vail Town Council is forwarding a preference in the decision-making process to determine if noise walls will be built as part of the I-70 Vail Underpass project, with the Council’s preference weighted against a noise wall.
