Working in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Colorado State Patrol, Eagle County Special Operations Unit and Eagle County Animal Control, the GRANITE Drug Task Force (Gore Range Narcotics Interdiction Team) served three search warrants in the Eagle-Vail area on Wed., Jan. 25.
The Vail Town Council has unanimously adopted a resolution in support of the Climate Action Plan for Eagle County. Resolution No. 2 was approved unanimously by the council at its regular meeting on Jan. 17. The Climate Action Plan process is being facilitated by the sustainability and stewardship team from Walking Mountains Science Center. In addition to Vail, the plan has been adopted by Eagle County, Town of Avon and Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District.

Their cones provide food for squirrels and birds, such as nuthatches. Their branches offer shelter and nesting space. However, these towering trees are threatened by a tiny enemy.
