Some of Vail’s most popular events are taking place over Labor Day weekend and into the fall as we count down to the fall colors arriving soon followed by Vail Mountain’s opening day on Nov. 18.
This Labor Day weekend, you’re invited to a free evening of adventure, strength, love and family. Disneynature’s BEARS will take us into the wonderful and unpredictable world of a mother grizzly bear, Sky, and her two newborn cubs as they face the challenges and triumphs of surviving and thriving in the Alaskan wilderness.
Most Town of Vail Municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day. The Vail Public Library also will be closed. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Transit services will operate uninterrupted during the holiday. Also, the police front counter in the Municipal Building will remain open on Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Call 911 for police, fire or medical emergencies.

The Town of Vail is seeking a qualified consultant team to assist town staff with identifying, prioritizing and designing multiple riparian habitat and stream bank restoration projects for areas along Gore Creek and tributaries throughout Vail. The Town of Vail is throwing a community birthday party on Tuesday, Aug. 23 - 50 years to the day it became a new town. The celebration will include a variety of tributes, highlighted by a community gathering from 4 to 6 p.m. at Donovan Park and Pavilion with activities for the entire family.
