Town Council to Begin Detailed Review of Vail Open Lands Plan Update on July 3
The Vail Town Council will begin a detailed review of the draft update to the Comprehensive Open Lands Plan during its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 3. The focus of Tuesday’s discussion will be the topic of environmentally sensitive lands with other sections of the draft plan scheduled to be reviewed by the Town Council later in the summer.

After careful consideration, the Town of Vail is joining other communities in Eagle County and across the state in cancelling its professional fireworks display on the Fourth of July.

Stage 2 Fire Restrictions Implemented in Eagle County
With Colorado facing extremely dangerous fire conditions, Eagle County Sheriff James Van Beek, in collaboration with local fire authorities, the White River National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management, has decided to enact Stage 2 fire restrictions in Eagle County. All law enforcement and fire agencies throughout Eagle County would like to thank everyone for their compliance, and cooperation with our current fire restrictions.

Town of Vail Holiday Schedule Announced

Most Town of Vail municipal offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. However, the police front counter in the Municipal Building will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The office is available for front counter service and is open Monday through Saturday each week; closed Sundays.
