Carbon Monoxide Incident at Chamonix Chalets Serves as Reminder to Have CO Detectors Present and to Call 911 When Activated

Vail Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of a carbon monoxide alarm in a four-unit residential building located at 2456 Chamonix Lane at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 in West Vail. Upon arrival, one of the occupants of the Chamonix Chalets reported feeling ill and sought medical attention. She was found to have carbon monoxide in her bloodstream.
