Save the date for Vail’s annual tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 17 in Slifer Square by the Covered Bridge. It’s all part of the Vail Holidays™celebration which runs through Dec. 31. Activities include a Holiday Sweater Run, Kris Kringle Market, Holiday Party with Santa, cookie decorating, lantern-making workshops and Holiday Lantern Walk, plus the 11th Annual Vail Winterfest Ice Theater and the annual Torchlight Parade and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

The Town of Vail announced today that five of the 32 Chamonix Vail homes under construction are currently available for purchase by qualifying buyers. The property is located at 2310 Chamonix Road.

Vail Bus Service Transitions to Winter Schedule Dec. 11
Town of Vail buses will transition to the full winter schedule beginning Monday, Dec. 11. The new schedule, which will run through April 15, will provide 15- to 30-minute service on most outlying routes during peak times and 30-minute to one-hour service on most outlying routes during non-peak times. The in-town shuttle, which services Golden Peak, Vail Village and Lionshead, will run every 5 to 10 minutes. A complete bus schedule is available online at vailgov.com, or by calling 970-477-3456.
