Vail America Days™ Fourth of July Parade Registration Now Open, Entries Due by June 23
Entries for Vail’s annual Fourth of July parade are currently being accepted by event organizers and are due by 5 p.m. June 23. The 2017 parade will start at Golden Peak at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4 and will wind its way through Vail Village, ending in Lionshead. The theme for the parade is “America the Beautiful” providing guests and participants with the opportunity to celebrate the elegance and diversity of America.

Town of Vail Issues Caution Regarding Use of Pesticides
Many of the pesticides used to protect trees in Vail can unintentionally kill beneficial insects, both on land and in Gore Creek. As a way to reduce the negative impacts of pesticide use, town officials are asking homeowners, property managers and commercial applicators to carefully consider what they are spraying and how it is being applied.

Town of Vail Funding Allocations Announced for 2017 Special Events
Thirty special events in the Cultural/Recreational/Community (CRC) category are receiving $837,290 in support from the Town of Vail Commission on Special Events (CSE) in 2017. An additional $151,500 has been awarded to eight proposals falling into a new category of Education/Enrichment (EE) events and programming.
