Crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services have scheduled pile burns for Wednesday, April 17, as conditions permit. The operations will take place on the Deer Underpass State Wildlife Area at the west end of the Intermountain neighborhood.

Free Landscape Workshop on April 23 to Focus on Best Practices to Restore Local Waterways
Registration is now taking place for a free workshop on sustainable landscaping practices scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 in Vail. This free, day-long workshop will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Donovan Pavilion. Sponsored by the Town of Vail, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District, Town of Avon and Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, this is the fourth year for the training and coincides with expanded educational programming identified in the Town of Vail Gore Creek Strategic Action Plan.

Gore Valley Trail through Dowd Junction Recreation is Open as of April 15

The Gore Valley Trail through Dowd Junction has reopened for a new season effective April 15. Users are advised to use extreme caution during or after additional snowstorms due to snowplowing activity on Interstate 70.
