Paid Parking Begins Friday, Nov. 20 in Vail
Paid parking in Vail’s parking structures and outlying lots begins Friday, Nov. 20 to coincide with the start of Vail Mountain’s 2015-16 ski and snowboard season. Parking passes are available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the season on the lower level of the Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Rd. Bring proof of eligibility as restrictions apply.

Chapin, Bruno to Lead Vail Town Council
Dave Chapin and Jenn Bruno have been elected by the Vail Town Council to lead the group for the next two years – Chapin as mayor and Bruno as mayor pro tem, respectively. The two were unanimously elected and each will serve for two years.

Free Alkaline Battery Collection this Week at the Town of Vail
In honor of America Recycles Day, the Town of Vail will be accepting alkaline batteries to be recycled for free this week. Batteries may be dropped off at the Community Development Department offices, 75 S. Frontage Road, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 20. To assist with processing, please attach clear tape to the ends of each battery.

Vail Skatepark Construction Wraps up for Season with Work Continuing in the Spring

Construction of Vail’s new skatepark at the Lionshead parking structure is well on its way toward completion after breaking ground on Aug. 4. The poured concrete in the park’s main area, half pipe and mini bowl is in place, as are the rails, coping and other skate features.
