Vail Announces Finalists for Town Manager

Mayor Dave Chapin today announced the search for a new Vail town manager has been narrowed to three finalists. The candidates will travel to Vail for a series of interviews which are taking place April 18-19. The itinerary will include a community meet and greet reception with the candidates which is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 at Donovan Pavilion, 1600 S. Frontage Road West. Members of the public are encouraged to stop by to learn more about the three contenders.

Spring Bus Schedule Begins April 24

Town of Vail buses will transition to the spring schedule on Monday, April 24 as the 2016-17 ski and snowboard season comes to a close. Free parking will also be available in the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures to coincide with reductions in bus service. Due to construction of the I-70 Vail underpass, transit routes servicing West Vail will again be modified until the project is completed.

Parking Reminder for Value Pass Holders

An end of season reminder is being issued by the town’s parking operations to all value pass holders. Following the last day of paid parking on April 23, value passes will be disabled and the balance will remain for next winter. Parking will be free in the structures beginning April 24 and throughout the 2017 summer season; however, customers will need to pull a ticket for entry/exit during a 12-week period to enable the town to collect data about the duration of each transaction.
