Stage 2 Fire Restrictions in Place
Visitors to Vail and throughout Eagle County are being asked to be mindful that elevated fire restrictions have been enacted as of June 30 and additional fire restrictions could be imposed for the area at any time. The Stage 2 fire restrictions ban any open fire, including campfires, smoking and other activities that increase the risk for wildfire. In addition all personal fireworks are banned in Vail as well as on BLM and National Forest lands.

The Vail Police Department is accepting applications for a Police Academy sponsorship. The program includes tuition-free enrollment at the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs and an hourly wage of $27.36 while attending the academy. Wednesday Vail Village Art Walks Taking Place
The free weekly Wednesday Art Walks and tour of Vail Village with the Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places coordinator begin Wednesday, July 11. The tour meets at 11 a.m. each Wednesday from July 11 through Aug. 29 at the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the parking structure. The tour lasts approximately one hour.
