Pile Burning in Vail Planned as Conditions Permit

Crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services will be conducting pile burn operations over the next few months as conditions permit. These burns will take place near the Vail Golf Course and Buffehr Creek areas.

Community Open Houses on Climate Action Plan

Walking Mountains Science Center and Eagle County are inviting the public to give feedback on a draft climate action plan for the community during open house sessions taking place from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in the Grand View on the third level of the Lionshead Welcome Center in Vail and on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Miller Ranch Community Room in Edwards.

2016 Outstanding Public Safety Professionals Recognized

Outstanding public safety professionals from across the county were recognized by the Eagle County Rotary Clubs of Eagle, Edwards and Vail and the Eagle County Public Safety Council at the 3rd Annual Public Safety Appreciation Awards Night at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail on Sept. 8. The awardees, including representatives from Vail Public Safety Communications Center, were recognized for outstanding service to their communities and for their contributions to their respective professions.
