Second Skatepark Design Workshop Takes Place May 27
Based on input from an earlier workshop, current and future users of Vail’s skatepark are invited to a follow up session this week to review updated design concepts for a new permanent facility. The presentation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 at the Grand View on the third level of the Lionshead Welcome Center.

Members of the public are invited to join Eagle County Emergency Responders for the 14th annual emergency responder recognition on Thursday, May 21.  The activities will begin at 10:30 a.m. when participants will gather at Freedom Park in Edwards to line up for a “Ride in Remembrance” event featuring motorcycles, classic cars and emergency response vehicles. Managed parking operations are returning for the fifth season in Vail beginning Saturday, May 23 during Battle Mountain High School commencement ceremonies at the Gerald R. Special Olympics Torch Run Coming to Eagle County Friday, May 22
Every May hundreds of law enforcement agencies and Special Olympics Colorado athletes carry the Special Olympics Flame of Hope through communities around the state. In the process they accumulate more than 1,500 miles preceding the Special Olympics Colorado Summer Games in Grand Junction. This year Eagle County will host its Torch Run on Friday, May 22.

Vail Bus Service Transitions to Summer Schedule May 25
Town of Vail buses will transition from the spring schedule to the summer schedule beginning Memorial Day, May 25. The summer schedule, which will run through mid-December, will provide free 40-minute to one-hour service on most outlying routes during peak times and one-to-two hour service on most outlying routes during non-peak times.
