The Town of Vail will sponsor the fifth in a series of lunch and learn symposiums at noon Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Lionshead Welcome Center. Attendees will enjoy a free lunch while listening to a presentation about beavers and the habitat they create.

6th Annual Coat Drive Taking Place
Catholic Charities and the Eagle County Law Enforcement Immigrant Advisory Committee are sponsoring their 6th Annual Fall Coat Drive. Over the last several years, this coat drive has distributed over 3,500 coats to kids and families in need. Coats are being collected through Oct. 31 at the Vail Police Department and other locations throughout the county.

Vail Town Center Roundabout Interchange to Return to Single Lane Northbound Configuration under I-70
The underpass at the Vail Town Center roundabout interchange will be returned to its original single lane configuration on Thursday, Sept. 22 in preparation for winter operations. The two lane northbound lane configuration worked well for the high volume summer months; however, it will now need to be returned to a single lane northbound lane configuration to allow for safe winter maintenance operations. Community Picnic Suggestions and Responses Compiled by Town of Vail

Comments and suggestions from the 2016 Town of Vail neighborhood picnics have been compiled and are being evaluated by the Town Council and staff. Comments have been sorted into the categories of neighborhoods, enforcement, recreation paths/trailheads, housing, Vail’s future and compliments. The picnics were held on July 12 at Bighorn Park and on Aug. 9 at Donovan Park and are used as a community outreach measure to connect with residents and guests.
