Plastic Bag Ban Contemplated

The Vail Town Council has directed staff to proceed in drafting an ordinance that would incrementally ban the use of plastic bags within the town. The decision was made in straw poll votes by the Town Council after reviewing possible approaches and listening to public testimony at its Jan. 20 meeting. Council Preference on Noise Walls

The Vail Town Council is forwarding a preference in the decision-making process to determine if noise walls will be built as part of the I-70 Vail Underpass project, with the Council’s preference weighted against a noise wall. The decision occurred at the Town Council’s evening meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 20 following a public hearing.
