The Town of Vail and Eagle River Water & Sanitation District will sponsor another installment in the Lunch with the Locals series at noon on Wednesday, April 24 in the Grand View, located on the third level of the Lionshead Welcome Center. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch and listen to Dan Bean of the Palisade Insectary talk about how insects can be used as an alternative to pesticides when combating invasive weeds.

Vail Seeks Community Members to Fill Board Vacancies

The Town of Vail is seeking community members to fill four vacancies on two citizen boards. Three openings exist on the Vail Local Licensing Authority and there is one vacancy on the Vail Local Housing Authority. Applications for the vacancies are due to the town by 5 p.m. Friday, May 10. The Vail Town Council will conduct interviews during its afternoon session on May 21, with appointments to follow at its evening meeting. Free Public Parking Begins April 22
Free public parking returns to the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, April 22. This includes free overnight parking until May 24 when a $25 fee will be implemented for the second season to discourage vehicle storage.
