Vail Spring Cleaning Blitz Dates Announced
Vail’s annual spring cleaning activities are returning this year with multiple events in April and May. The 2018 Town of Vail Cleanup Day has been moved to an earlier date and will take place on Sunday, April 29.  Dumpsters will be placed in East Vail and West Vail neighborhoods beginning on Wednesday, April 25 and are available for residential use. Volunteers are encouraged to register in advance by e-mailing cleanupday@vailgov.com. The spring cleaning blitz continues in May...

National Drug Take Back Event is Saturday, April 28 with collection sites in Vail, Edwards and Gypsum
The Vail Police Department and Eagle County Sheriff’s Office are participating in the 15th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 28. The collection takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Vail Municipal Building, WECMRD Field House in Edwards and Costco in Gypsum. This is an opportunity to clean out medicine cabinets of all unwanted, expired or unused medications and have them disposed of safely.

The Town of Vail and Eagle River Water & Sanitation District will sponsor another installment in the Lunch with the Locals series at noon Wednesday, April 25 in the Lionshead Welcome Center. Attendees will enjoy a free lunch while listening to Town of Vail Watershed Education Coordinator Pete Wadden discuss the history and ongoing controversy surrounding the philosophies of conservation and preservation in the U.S.

Three Playgrounds to Close for Spring Maintenance Work in Vail
The Town of Vail is advising users of Vail’s playgrounds to plan ahead this spring in advance of some maintenance work at Pirateship, Sunbird and Red Sandstone parks that will cause the playgrounds to be closed until Memorial Day weekend.  Seven other playgrounds in Vail will be open during the spring including the new custom play area at Booth Creek Park in East Vail.
