Numerous Construction Projects Taking Place this Spring on behalf of the Town of Vail

Free Landscape Workshop on April 12 to Focus on Best Practices to Restore Local Waterways
Registration is now taking place for a free workshop on sustainable landscaping practices scheduled for Thursday, April 12 in Vail. This free, day-long workshop will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Donovan Pavilion. Sponsored by the Town of Vail, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District, Town of Avon and Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, this is the third year for the training and coincides with expanded educational programming identified in the Town of Vail Gore Creek Strategic Action Plan.

Street Sweeping, Cinder Pick Up Begins in Vail

Street sweeping operations will be getting underway in Vail beginning Monday, April 2 and will continue through June 4, weather permitting. Crews will be working eight hours each day, five days a week to complete the sweeping which includes curbside cinder pick up. Residents are asked to rake the cinders from their yards into the right-of-way and to call the public works department at 970-479-2158 when ready for pick up, then allow a few days for completion.
