One of the Vail Police Department’s key leadership positions will be transitioning soon as Cmdr. Daric Harvey will be leaving the department to become chief of police in Canon City. A community reception to honor Harvey’s service will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 1 at Vendetta’s in Vail Village.
