Pile Burning in Vail Planned for Monday as Conditions Allow
Crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services have scheduled pile burns for Monday, Dec. 5 as conditions permit. The operations will take place off of Buffehr Creek Road in West Vail where the Vail wildland fire mitigation crew completed fuels reduction work.

Vail Fire & Emergency Services Responds to Vail Pass Semi Fire
At approximately 1:38 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, Vail Fire and Emergency Services was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Interstate 70 westbound at mile marker 182 on Vail Pass. An update from the Vail Public Safety Communications Center indicated the back end of a semi-tractor trailer was burning.
