Town Financial Statements for 2014 Lauded for Responsible Spending and Fiscal Practices

The town’s responsible management of its expenses and conservative fiscal practices once again put Vail in a healthy financial position as it ended 2014. The year-end financial report was presented to the Town Council recently by Finance Director Kathleen Halloran as well as highlights from an independent audit conducted by McMahan & Associates and presented by Michael Jenkins.

Free Curbside Chipping Service Begins in Vail

Free Curbside Chipping Service Begins in Vail
Vail Fire and Emergency Services will again provide a free curbside chipping service to assist property owners with defensible space on private property. The service will be available beginning Tuesday, June 2 and will include chipping for branches, logs and small trees up to 15 inches in diameter. Slash must be stacked neatly in piles no larger than 5’ x 5’ x 5’ per pile.
