Children’s Garden of Learning, Town of Vail Announce Agreement on Future Relocation Plans; Includes Temporary Facility at Charter Bus Lot in Lionshead

Children’s Garden of Learning and the Town of Vail have agreed to a relocation plan that includes use of the Charter Bus Lot in Lionshead as a temporary location to allow time to prepare for a permanent facility. The announcement by Town Manager Scott Robson and CGL Executive Director Maggie Swonger was made during the Oct. 6 meeting of the Vail Town Council.

Be Bear Aware as Bears Enter Pre-hibernation Feeding Frenzy

The Vail Police Department and Colorado Parks and Wildlife are reminding residents to be mindful of increased bear activity and to take measures to eliminate easy food sources so bears can co-exist with humans. Bear activity is now on the rise as bears have begun their pre-hibernation feeding frenzy during which excessive eating and drinking pushes bears to eat upwards of 15,000 to 20,000 calories a day.
