Participants and spectators attending the GoPro Mountain Games June 8-11 are advised to leave their cars at home and take the bus or ride their bikes to Vail, if possible, as parking will be at full capacity. Check eaglecounty.us or vailgov.com for local bus schedules, which includes expanded service throughout the summer on the East Vail, Golf Course and Sandstone routes.

Vail Sponsors Stormwater Art Installation to Raise Awareness about How Stormwater Impacts Gore Creek
In the wake of a series of incidents in which pollutants including paint, cooking grease, cement and food have been dumped down storm drains, the Town of Vail has begun a campaign to raise awareness of the impacts of stormwater pollution. Working with Art in Public Places, the Environmental Sustainability Division has developed a creative concept to visually draw one’s attention directly to the source: the storm drain.

Town of Vail Establishes Gore Creek Spill Hotline:  970-476-GORE
The Town of Vail has activated a new hotline to collect tips on suspected spills or potential hazards to Gore Creek and other local waterways as part of its comprehensive focus on stream health. The hotline number, 970-476-GORE (4673), allows callers to share reports anonymously to the town’s Environmental Sustainability Office.
