Peak season parking restrictions will be in place for one day only on Monday, Feb. 15 for Presidents Day in the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures. This will be the last parking restriction of the season.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is conducting a survey of recent travelers on the I-70 Mountain Corridor to the west of Denver. The purpose of this study is to understand drivers’ travel patterns and preferences when using the I-70 Mountain Corridor. If you’ve used this part of I-70 in the last 9 months, CDOT wants to hear from you. Participants who qualify for and complete the survey can be entered for a chance to win one of ten $100 Amazon gift cards.

The Interstate 70 Vail Pass Rest Area serves a growing number of motorists, commercial operators, recreationists and local travelers. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The project generally consists of improvements to 2 existing informal picnic areas including clearing and grubbing, placement of road base waling surfaces, and installation of Owner supplied charcoal grills and picnic tables. Maintenance of a existing wetland area including dredging and installation of a water level control pipe. Construction of cast-in-place concrete playground access stairs with custom steel handrails.

The Town of Vail is pleased to announce a new business relief program, the Grant Award Program (GAP) which will provide direct aid to Vail businesses experiencing hardship due to the public health crisis. Developed by representatives of the Vail Economic Advisory Council with assistance from town staff, the grant program was authorized by the Vail Town Council on Feb. 2 in the amount of $500,000 and will offer Vail businesses grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.
