Election Reminders from the Vail Town Clerk’s Office

Voter Registration

The Vail Town Clerk’s Office is reminding Vail voters of several important election topics and dates as follows:



Online registration:   
Visit by Oct. 28

In-person registration: Visit Eagle County Voter Service and Polling Centers through Election Day; Offices open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Oct. 26 through Nov. 2 with 3 locations:  Avon, Eagle and El Jebel

Eligibility requirements: Must live in the State of Colorado at least 22 days prior to registration.  Must be citizen and 18 years of age. Must not claim the right to vote in any other state and consider Eagle County as sole place of residence

Absentee Voting

Absentee requests: Access forms from
Submit completed application to Vail Town Clerk’s Office by Oct. 30

Absentee voting: Ballot drop-off and voting begins Oct. 22 at Vail Municipal Building from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and ends Oct. 30
Absentee ballots: Will be mailed no later than the week of Oct. 19
Must be received in Vail Town Clerk’s Office by 7 p.m. Nov. 3 either by mail or hand-delivered

Election Day

November 3, 2015:
Polls open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Polling location is Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road

Voter verification:

Bring a current and valid Colorado identification to the polling place, such as a Colorado driver’s license, U.S. passport, utility bill with name and address of elector, or Colorado State issued identification card

Any change in voter registration record will need to be addressed at the Eagle County Voter Service and Polling Centers on Election Day and will not be addressed at the Town of Vail offices. If you have moved, you must update your voter registration with your new residence address prior to voting.
