Beginning at 12 a.m. Thursday, March 21 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 24, the Ford Park parking lot will be closed to accommodate the Powabunga Fest concerts. Parking options for all Pink parking pass holders will include use of the soccer field during the closure, plus free outlying parking at Donovan Park
or in West Vail.
The Powabunga Fest concert line-up at Ford Park includes headliner Zhu on Friday, March 22 at 8:45 p.m. with opening acts beginning at 4 p.m. On Saturday, March 23, Bob Moses takes the stage for the headliner concert at 9 p.m. with opening acts beginning at 4 p.m. These shows are ticketed events and you can purchase tickets and see the entire event line-up at Powabungafest.com
Express Town of Vail bus service will be provided free of charge from both the top level of the Lionshead parking structure and the Vail Village Transportation Center to and from Ford Park before and after the concerts. No vehicle drop-off or pick-up locations will be available at Ford Park. Concert goers utilizing ride-share providers, taxis, limos and hotel shuttles are asked to use the Vail Transportation Center for all drop offs and pick ups. Handicap parking will be available on South Frontage Road near the Ford Park parking lot and a state-issued handicap parking tag will be required for access.
Motorists traveling to and from East Vail via the South Frontage Road should allow additional transit time as a detour will be in place between Vail Valley Drive and the Pulis Bridge/Golf Course area during those times. Traffic control will be provided before, during and after the concert. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in this area.
Overflow parking will be allowed in designated areas on the north side of South Frontage Road if both the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures fill to capacity. Motorists are asked to refer to variable message signs for current parking information.
