Soccer Field Lot Closed for Parking Feb. 18 to March 11 to Accommodate Staging for Burton US Open
Beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, the parking lot at the Vail soccer field will be closed to pink and green season parking pass holders to accommodate staging needs for the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships. The closure will continue to 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 11. During the closure, parking pass holders will be directed to the Ford Park lot.

Now in its fourth year at Vail, the Burton US Open takes place Feb. 29 through March 5 and will feature the world’s best snowboarders competing for the title in halfpipe and slopestyle action at Golden Peak. The event also includes the USO Happy Hour and Broomball Tournament from 4 to 7 p.m. March 2-3 and free, live concerts at Solaris Plaza from 7 to 9:30 p.m. March 2-5. Prior to the start of the four concerts and throughout their duration, Vail’s in-town shuttle will be rerouted via South Frontage Road to West Meadow Drive with the top deck of the Vail Transportation Center serving as the Covered Bridge bus stop. Also, the in-town bus stop at Golden Peak will be periodically relocated a few hundred yards to the east to accommodate deliveries.
