A 41-year-old man has been arrested by Vail Police after obtaining an arrest warrant for threats the man allegedly made against Vail police officers and dispatch staff. According to the warrant, Frank James Duddleston reportedly made five calls to the Vail Public Safety Communications Center on both non-emergent and 911 lines between June 7 and June 10. In those calls, Duddleston allegedly stated that he was “going to kill every one of you” and that he would “hunt the dispatchers down.”
During another incident, Duddleston made a purchase at a Vail coffee shop on Thursday, June 16, then called about 45 minutes later threating to kill the staff for allegedly poisoning his coffee. Duddleston was taken into custody without incident at 12:39 p.m. Friday, June 17 at a campground near Red Cliff by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
