Town Council to Review Proposal for Countywide Animal Control Code at Aug. 4 Meeting

The Vail Town Council will review a proposal for a countywide animal control code during its Tuesday, Aug. 4, meeting. The discussion is listed as 3.2 on the virtual afternoon meeting agenda which begins at 2:30 p.m.

Eagle County has been working with representatives from Vail, Minturn, Avon and Eagle since last November to draft a code that can be applied consistently throughout jurisdictions in the county. This will require adoption of map showing which locations will allow pets to be off-leash in town. During Tuesday’s discussion, the Town Council will be asked to provide feedback on the off-leash locations.
