Vail Town Manager Stan Zemler will host a public briefing for Vail Town Council candidates from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 7 in the Town Council Chambers. The briefing will include a budget overview and updates on topics such as economic development, employee housing and the town’s financial health. Candidates will also be encouraged to ask questions of the town staff for additional information-gathering.
Seven candidates have been certified for the Nov. 3 election. The ballot order is as follows:

- Mark Christie
- Kim Langmaid
- Dorothy "Doe" Browning
- Kevin R. Foley
- Jen Mason
- Ludwig "Ludi" Kurz
Also, all interested parties are invited to attend a public candidate forum sponsored by the Vail Chamber and Business Association and presented by the Vail Board of Realtors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Donovan Pavilion, 1600 S.
