The Vail Local Marketing District is accepting qualification proposals for two professional contractor services – digital marketing and strategic brand planning. The proposals are due by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15.
In seeking qualifications for each of the services, the VLMD is seeking experienced firms that will help Vail capitalize on driving overnight visitation during the need periods of May through October, 2016, utilizing measurable, successful strategies and leveraging existing Vail assets, as well as continuing to refine and deliver on enhancing the guests’ experience in Vail.
The Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council is a nine-member volunteer board and is responsible for making recommendations to the Vail Town Council, which serves as the Vail Local Marketing District Board, for summer and shoulder season marketing programs funded by a 1.4 percent Vail lodging tax.
The winning candidates should expect to deliver a high level of service, be in attendance at monthly meetings, find non-traditional solutions to traditional challenges and work collaboratively with the Val Local Marketing District Advisory Council, Town of Vail staff and other partner firms to demonstrate the ability to be nimble, flexible, dedicated and result-oriented.
Candidates are asked to submit proposals to Kelli McDonald, Town of Vail economic development manager, at email@example.com by 5 p.m. Dec. 15. The selection process includes narrowing the field to a maximum of three firms each on Dec. 18, followed by presentations to the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council on Jan. 21 and selection of the two contractors on Jan. 22.
Details on the strategic brand planning RFQ and the digital marketing firm RFQ are located on the Public Notices page of the town's website.
