Thank you for your continued interest in the Vail Open Lands Plan Update. As we complete our first phase of community outreach, we want to be sure we’ve collected your thoughts about the current plan and your observations about what’s important for the future. If you haven’t yet filled out a questionnaire distributed previously during our earlier open houses, please use this link to access our questionnaire online. Or, if you picked up a hard copy of the questionnaire, please plan to drop it off at the Town of Vail offices or mail it to: Town of Vail, c/o Open Lands Plan Update, 75 S. We’ll soon begin compiling the feedback we’ve heard to date and presenting this information to the Vail Town Council at the Tuesday, Feb. 7 afternoon meeting. The staff memorandum will be available for your review on Friday, Feb. 3. From there, the update process will move into Phase II, which will involve research and site analysis, the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee and two community meetings - one on Feb. 22 (time and location to be determined) and a second meeting to be announced - to discuss potential updates to the plan.
Phase III will involve preparation of a draft plan and the formal review process by the Planning and Environmental Commission and the Town Council which will take place during the summer.
