Vail Police Seeking Identification of McDonald’s Armed Robbery Suspect
Vail Police are seeking identification of a man suspected of armed robbery at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 2171 N. Frontage Rd. West. At approximately 6:04 a.m., on Sunday, Jan 21 a male party entered the McDonalds dining area. According to police, he proceeded toward the cash register where he stood for one to two minutes. Police say the suspect then produced a handgun from his front right jacket pocket, pointed it at the face of the cashier and demanded the money from the cash register.  

 

Police are describing the suspect as a white male, 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds. He is described as wearing a black jacket with gray patches on the shoulders, camouflage pants, black sneakers and a dark colored hat. The suspect left on foot and headed to the west. The suspect is believed to be armed with a semi-automatic style handgun. 

 

Vail Police are advising anyone that comes into contact with the suspect not to approach or interact with him, and to call 911 and report his location immediately.
