Vail Seeks Community Member to Fill Mid-Term Vacancy on Planning & Environmental Commission

The Town of Vail is seeking applications from community members to fill a mid-term vacancy on the Planning and Environmental Commission. The opening has been vacated by the resignation of PEC chair Brian Stockmar who has been elected to the Vail Town Council. The term of the PEC appointment will begin Dec. 9 and expire March 31, 2020. 

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. Send letters of interest and experience to: Vail Town Council, Attn. Tammy Nagel, Town Clerk, 75 S. Frontage Rd., Vail, CO 81657 by mail or in person, or e-mail to The Vail Town Council will conduct interviews of the applicants during its afternoon session on Tuesday, Dec. 3, with an appointment to follow at its evening meeting. 

To qualify, PEC applicants must be residents and registered voters in the Town of Vail. The PEC meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 1 p.m. in the Vail Municipal Building. This seven-member volunteer board is responsible for the review and determination of requests for variances, subdivisions and conditional use permits, and recommendations to the Town Council on special development districts, rezonings, various Town of Vail proposed plans, environmental issues and other community matters.
