The Town of Vail will sponsor the sixth in a monthly series of lunch and learn symposiums at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Lionshead Welcome Center.
Attendees will enjoy a free lunch while listening to a presentation about the impacts of in stream flows, water temperature and climate change on Gore Creek from local hydrologist Bill Hoblitzell. Experts from Walking Mountains Science Center, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District, Eagle River Watershed Council and Town of Vail will be on hand to answer questions about what residents can do to “Restore the Gore.” There will also be native seed mixes, stickers, informational brochures and re-usable grocery bags given away to attendees.
