Starting this week, the Town of Vail will resume its regular weekly construction meetings to review upcoming project schedules for the fall season. In addition, a second weekly meeting has been added to the schedule to discuss construction related to the Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse renovation. Both meetings will be facilitated by Leonard Sandoval, the town’s construction area coordinator.

Projects encompassing Vail Village, Lionshead and Vail’s outlying areas will be reviewed each Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept.1 in the Lionshead Welcome Center. Neighbors, contractors and others impacted by the construction are invited to participate. The meetings will continue at the same time each Tuesday through Nov. 15 and will include updates on projects such as the new skatepark at the Lionshead parking structure, expansion of Vail Valley Medical Center, realignment of the entry to the Vail Municipal Building and scheduled utility projects, among others.

A separate meeting will be used to review the schedule for renovation of the Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse. These meetings will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Sept. 2 in the Town of Vail Public Works Administration Building, 1309 Elkhorn Dr. Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The clubhouse meetings will continue through Oct. 14 and will be used to discuss staging, traffic coordination and other neighborhood topics associated with the project.
