Commission on Special Events

The seven-member Commission on Special Events generally meets at 8:30am on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the Vail Municipal Building and is responsible for: 

  • Creating and implementing a special event strategy for the Town of Vail
  • Allocating funds budgeted by the Town of Vail for special events
  • Evaluating event applications
  • Overseeing event producers and promoters
  • Evaluating and executing contracts for special events
  • Other functions designated by the Vail Town Council

Anyone interested in serving on the voluntary board must be a resident of the Town of Vail or either own real property, own a business or be employed within the town.
