All contractors engaged in construction work, including, but not limited to new construction, additions, repairs, alterations, renovations of any building or structure, or excavation work, shall be registered under provision 4-7-2, Contractor Registration, Vail Town Code.
Prior to undertaking any construction, excavation work or contract and/or applying for any type of permit required by applicable State statutes or ordinances of the Town.
Contractor registration is good for up to three years in the Town of Vail expiring on April 30 in year three. Upon expiration a contractor is required to re-register. The Contractor Registration fee is $200.
Electrical and Plumbing contractors must provide their Colorado State License number and Fire Service contractors must provide their Vail Fire and Emergency Services contractor registration number and must maintain this licensure for the period of their registration.
Contractor Registration Forms are available at the Community Development office or can be accessed on-line by selecting the link above.
To apply for your Vail Fire and Emergency Services contractor registration number, you must submit this pre-registration form. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.
Contractors must continue to maintain liability and workers compensation insurance and be prepared to show proof of registration and insurance upon request by the Building Official.
