West Vail Master Plan Study Analyzes Existing Conditions

Over the past few months, the West Vail Master Plan project team has been analyzing existing conditions in West Vail. Three reports are available for review on the project page at www.EngageVail.com.

• The Land Use + Design analysis reviews the built environment in West Vail – looking at zoning, non-conformities and building character.
• The Housing and Economics analysis touches on demographics, commuting, businesses and how West Vail compares to the rest of the town.
• The Transportation and Mobility analysis examines existing transportation infrastructure, transit ridership, and low-stress walking and biking routes.

These analyses lay the foundation for the plan, identifying gaps and issues to be addressed in the plan. The project team is currently planning socially distanced and virtual public engagement. In these meetings, you’ll learn more about the analyses and share your vision for West Vail. Watch for announcement of additional details. In the meantime, get involved with the project online by registering on the West Vail Master Plan project page, here.
