New Special Event Coordinator Hired

Jeremy Gross has joined the Town of Vail staff as the special event coordinator. Gross, formerly with the Town of Eagle and Vail Resorts, will be responsible for supporting all of the event functions that occur in the Town of Vail, ranging from the Library Bake Sale to the Burton US Open and including everything in between. Gross will work with potential event producers to vet their ideas for new events, review event permits and coordinate event needs with current event producers and all Town of Vail departments. Additionally, he will be managing the event funding process for the Commission on Special Events and the monthly meetings and engagement from that commission.

Gross is joining the team in the Economic Development Department consisting of the economic development director and the economic development marketing coordinator.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in commercial recreation and tourism from the University of Northern Colorado, Gross moved to the valley to work at the Beaver Creek Ski School. He has since spent time working at both Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Mountain before moving into the public sector for the Town of Eagle. “I am very excited to be back working in Vail in a role that will allow me to have a positive impact here, working with many partners including the event producers, local businesses, as well as those who live and travel to Vail to participate in our world class events. I look forward to ensuring that all of our guests and our community have a positive experience when dealing with the town planning and attending events.”
