Vail Police Arrest Suspect in Felony Menacing Case

On Feb. 9, Vail Police, with assistance from the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Trevor Fournier, 23, of Minturn, for felony menacing, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment. This arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation following a Feb. 7 incident that occurred at La Cantina restaurant in Vail. The original altercation began when an unknown offender began threatening a patron of the restaurant. The suspect became increasingly aggressive and twice attempted to assault the victim with chairs, damaging property belonging to La Cantina in the process. The suspect brandished a switchblade style knife and threatened the victim before fleeing on foot.

The Vail Police Department received several phone calls and emails and would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the offender in this incident.  If anyone has any additional information regarding this incident, please contact Officer Craig Westering at cwestering@vailgov.com or 970-479-2201.

Note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
